Colli Euganei

Travelling to the Colli Euganei is very convenient. If you want to fly, Venice airport is the closest. From most countries in Europe, several flights a day leave for Venice, Marco Polo Airport but you can also be in the Colli within an hour from the airports of Treviso, Verona and Bologna.

The climate in the Colli Euganei is similar to that of most Western European countries with the exception of the summer, which can be warm to very hot. The area clearly knows the four seasons, not only in terms of weather, but also in terms of nature, making the area worthwhile visiting in every season. The Colli has been an official regional park since 1989 and has an extensive network of hiking and biking trails. The hills in the Colli are overgrown with grapes, olive trees, cherry trees, almond trees and offer a beautiful sight during every season.  Under the ‘Specials’ on this website you will find a unique small-scale walking holiday, during which you can also enjoy the culturally and culinary high lights of the Colli Euganei.

In each of the 15 ‘municipalities’ within the Colli you will find interesting sights such as Castello Catajo, the Giardino Storico di Valsanzibio, Villa Emo, Villa dei Vescovi, the Abbazia di Praglia, Castello di Valbona, Ca’Marcello et cetera, et cetera. The village of Arqua Petrarca also belongs to Borghi piu belli d’Italia and is a very atmospheric medieval village.
